More bike upgrade...

Today, I got the bike upgraded once more. This time, it's all about the wheel. It all started with the brake. Yeah, last time I bike to work, it's very heavy because the brake-pad was stroking the rim. The V-brake replacement didn't solve the problem because there were another problems. The tyres and rim was not good anymore. There were even cracks on the rim.

So, since the problems have to be fixed, some replacement is taking place. New Kenda tyres with Araya rims are replacing the generic tyres and rim.
To match the previous 8speed-shifter upgrade, the sprocket also replaced. And... since the new sprocket can not go with the original hub, the hub also replaced with Shimano hub.

Even though all this upgrades really drains my account, it really worth it. My ride is much more easier and stable. Well, 'money doesn't lie', they said hahaha....

Upgrading....

Usually, it was always raining at the afternoon when I go to school by bike. But today, it wasn't, so I ride the bike to the workshop to get an upgrade...

The intention was only upgrading the shifter (yeah, the original shifter is really a pain, I must wait a veeery long time before it shifted...), but in the end, the upgrade goes to shifters, rear derailleur, saddle, and hand-grip. The hand-grips have to be changed anyway if I change the shifters, so I'm not considering them as 'additional' upgrade :)

And, I think the upgrade is really worth-it.  The gear shift considerably fast, even though they are all the 'low-end' of Shimano products! And the saddle is comfortable... and yes, it is not the expensive one either.

As soon as the mechanic finished with the work, I race my bike home. The sky was very dark above Nusaloka, and the wind blows really hard when I was at the Catalonia gate.  So, I was going as fast as I could (and the new upgrade really help there). And just about five minutes after I got home.... it rains  very hard!
